Warning - Picture Overload :)
We finally took a vacation with Kate's bestie Zoie and her family and it didn't disappoint! We had a blast in Disney for 4 days. We flew in Friday morning and played at the pool for the day. Then, met up with some of our old California friends and their three daughters at Downtown Disney for some good food and some lego building. Kate was so excited to have "friends" there and spent the evening running around with the girls. Thanks for a fun night Poasa and Beth! Hope to see you guys again soon.
Day 1 of Disney:
We hit California Adventure Park first, getting our Fast Passes for Cars (to return later that night) and Bug's Life and Tower of Terror. Zoie was so excited for Kate to go on Tower with her. Kate was ok with the ride part, but not the story part. For the next day and a half she kept telling us she didn't like the ride and why did the kids disappear? "I don't want to disappear!".
Paige's first time at Disney and she did pretty good. Her favorite ride - Ariel (also one of Kate and Zoie and Bonnie's favorites). We probably did the ride 8 times. Kate and Paige both picked Arial dolls for their souvenir.
Kate loves to get her picture with Sully - one of her favorite characters.
Day 2 of Disney:
We spent most of the morning in Cars Land since we had a Magic Morning. We actually got to the gate at 7:00 am. Made for a long day - but it was worth it to hit the rides. Cars Land is great and the details are amazing. My favorite ride was the Radiator Springs racers - cute ride, but a lot of fun! Kate got to meet Lightning, and he really talks, wiggles and moves his eyes. She was so excited to give him a hug from Grandma.
Lindsay and the girls on the tractors.
Jed and Haydn with Bonnie on the tractor. It was pretty comical seeing these two guys try to squish in with her.
Disneyland for the afternoon where we hit the teacups, Matterhorn, Toon Town - and a whole lot of other rides. Paige even liked the teacups!Day 3 of Disney:
We started the morning off with Mickey waffles at a little cafe in the hotel, then headed to Disneyland. Kate went on every ride she could. She loved Splash Mountain, and after the first trip down would ride "by herself" in the log (sitting in front of one of us - not next to us). She would even tell Jed when the hills were coming up and if it was "not the big one" or "the big one".
Great trip overall and we can't wait to hit the road again with Lindsay and Haydn (if they'll have us :)!
