Our nuttiest trip yet

Jed and I have always talked about traveling a bit with the trailer, but I didn't think it would happen so soon. Between Christmas and New Years we drove to Glamis. It's a 15 hour drive. With two kids. And a Grandma. In one truck. Yikes - but we still had fun (after a really looooong day).

We left around 9 one morning, and actually didn't end up pulling into camp until 2am. The last 4 hours were just short of a nightmare because the girls were tired and had been in the truck all day long - but there wasn't really a place to stop anywhere after Vegas.

Glamis is located on the Arizona/California/Mexico border. To get there we drove on part of Route 66. I thought that was pretty cool, and it is a lot like the Cars movie. No Mater sightings though.

Anyway, we stayed at the dunes for a few days and had a really good time (although Kate keeps telling us she doesn't want to go to the really far away dunes again).

It was so neat to be in the sun and out in the dunes at the end of December. And the dunes there are a pretty fun ride. It's also like a mini city set up there every weekend. The have vendor row with atv parking, food, ice cream, parts, stickers, tshirts, everything. It reminded us of Moab over Easter - but with side by sides.

Polaris put on a big production down there with food, activities, give aways, and even fireworks. Luckily we parked by some nice people who had a few kids Kate's age, so she was in heaven having friends to play with.

Christmas 2012

Such a fun Christmas this year. We just spent the day home relaxing and playing with the new toys and eating. Can you tell the girls love their new cousin just a bit? We were so happy to have Weston here for Christmas. And miracles do occur - Santa brought Astrid and her dragon. A miracle I tell ya, a miracle :)

"Mary"

Kate played Mary at preschool in the Nativity. She couldn't stop talking about it, she just loved Mary so much. She even wanted Jake and Colin to come over and dress up and play "Mary" with her. Luckily, she got to be Mary again in Primary, and on Christmas Eve. She planned for days of which baby she would take, and was a bit disappointed she didn't have a boy baby.

2012 Santa Visit

Paige ended up being terrified of Santa, so we took some photos outside afterwards. Kate of course loved Santa and asked for Astrid and a dragon - you know those are pretty hard for Santa to make right? But Christmas miracles do happen folks :)

2012 Christmas Card

One for Jed to send out (above) and our family one to send out (below). Next year I'll be smarter and make them the same :)

Kate's 1st Dance Recital

Kate's 1st dance recital with who other than her bff Zoie? She was so excited that she got flowers! Maybe I can get the video on here somehow.

Meeting Weston

I know, finally an update right?

This is the girls seeing Weston for the first time. To say the least, Kate was a bit excited and had been asking about him for months.
