Lake Powell

No surprise here, but we had yet another interesting and fun trip. Jed ended up breaking his foot the last day wakeboarding. He had surgery a week later, and will be off it for 8 weeks. It's no wonder he gets hurt trying to do stuff like this!

Kate loved her first trip to Powell. We put her in her little yellow tube, and she figured out that near the beach she could touch and would run along the shore, following everyone around. She loved the water and would float in her tube for hours.
We found an underwater island in our little cove and did our good deed for the trip, marked it with some milk cartons. Just so all of you know, milk cartons floating in the water at Powell most likely mean that there's something below, they're not just garbage :) Years ago we took out a prop on a rock, and lo and behold, there were some milk cartons floating nearby!

Remember, I haven't done this for nearly 2 years. Pretty good huh?

You should have seen her ballet moves.

9 Month Pics

I know, she's over 10 months now, but I finally got them scanned in.

St. Anthony

Here's the rundown of our trip. We celebrated Marshall's b-day and Father's day at the dunes this year.

10 pm - leave home (after packing alllllllllll daaaaayyyyyy)
1 am - friends run out of fuel (we won't mention any names [Wilson's])
2 am - back on the road
3 am - arrive in Rexburg, sleep in Walmart parking lot
7 am - Kate wakes up ready to go, Mom and Dad aren't (4 hours of sleep?)
10 am - get to camp, set up camp, get ready to ride
11 am - ride, ride, ride, fly a kit, ride, ride
12 am - sleep
7 am - Kate wakes up again (what happened to sleeping in on vacation?)
10 am - ride, ride, ride
8pm - get lost, no really, we got lost in the dark at the dunes, no cell phone, shaved a few years off my dad's life span, figured out where we were, found a cell phone, made it back to camp in one piece, got grounded by my mom from doing that again
12 am - sleep
10 am - ride, rescue the broken quad, then pack up and head home. This was the really sad part, we had a great time with all our family and friends, and just didn't want to leave. Can't wait to go again!
Our camp

Kate went for her first ride in 'Rex' (please don't call DCFS) and loved it.

Later that night, we had birthday cake.

Jed and I raced up Thunder Mountain (look who's winning!)

Kate's been feeding herself for a while now (and I LOVE it).

A Movie in the Sky

Zoie

Kate

Kate and Zoie

Kate went swimming with Zoie, and loved the water. She just sat in the pool, splashing away, and watching Zoie go in and out, in and out, in and out...maybe Kate will follow soon.

Rondi and Marshall threw a great bar-b-que for the Air Show, or as one of the kids called it "a movie in the sky". They made a ton of good food (way to go Betty Rondi Crocker), and we watched the planes fly right over head.

Night Owl

Yes, it's after midnight, and our darling daughter is still up. And I have no idea why. I promise I tried to put her to bed much, much earlier, but she's up. She's sitting next to me on the office floor tearing apart a notebook, and I'm letting her because I don't want any more screaming tonight if I take it away from her. I know, bad Mom. :) Here's the proof...
Anyway, since I'm up, I thought I'd update you on what's been going on since the Dunes (last post). Not much, except Rondi and I started playing on a co-ed outdoor soccer team. What were we thinking. Neither one of us can hardly walk the day after the game, but we sure are having fun, right Rondi? I'm sure she'll agree!

Work has been crazy, crazy busy. I'm only working part time, but I know I have way more work than that. On the upside, if you have a job, you should always be grateful, so I won't complain to much. I really do love my job, and I would much rather be crazy busy than bored out of my mind.

Well, it looks like she might possibly be ready for bed. Keep your fingers crossed.

The Dunes

I rode Jed's bike, and didn't even crash!

Marshall

Jed
We just got back from the dunes and had a blast. The weather was great, even with a little rain. On the way home, we got to stop and see our new nephew, Cooper.

A Little Bit Redneck

Kate actually fell asleep while strapped on to me when we mowed the lawn.
