Powell 2013

Awesome trip to Powell this summer (really, when isn't it awesome?). I love camping on the beach at Powell and just hanging out all day with no agenda. It was fun to kick back and watch the girls play on the beach, they are pretty entertaining. Paige's favorite thing to do was jump off the boat deck, as long as someone had a hold of both hands. She was quite the fish, following Kate everywhere.

This crazy girl. No one told her to stand up on the tube, she just decided to all on her own. This was such a fun tube too, the girls always wanted to go by themselves, and never wanted to get off. We drove down the channel half way to Annie's with them on the tube.
Even the moms got a little ride :)
  Collecting shells.

Weston joined in on the fun.

And we even did a little skiing. Kate loved it and kept asking if she could have another turn.

Happy birthday Zoie

Zoie invited us ice skating for her birthday. Kate's been pretty excited for Zoie's party, but really concerned that she would go to kindergarten without her the next day. She knows you have to be 5 to go :) Thanks Zoie for the fun party!!!

I know - a goofy picture of these two, but you can tell how much they love each other!

The Zoo

Paige and Weston's first trip to the zoo. Paige was in love with the monkey's. It was a cooler day, and pretty neat to see the animals so active.

Paige was a bit nervous on the carousel and  wouldn't let go of my hand.

This was probably the neatest part of the day. We sat at the glass window about 10 feet from 2 grizzly bears wrestling in the small pond.

We also spent a bit of time watching the seals and sea lions underwater. Kate was pretty impressed they were "flying upside down!!" I love that they have this new exhibit!
Roo and Weston - he stayed awake almost the entire time. He was fascinated by all the activity around him. Roo also got a chance to finally test out her stroller :)

Our nuttiest trip yet

Jed and I have always talked about traveling a bit with the trailer, but I didn't think it would happen so soon. Between Christmas and New Years we drove to Glamis. It's a 15 hour drive. With two kids. And a Grandma. In one truck. Yikes - but we still had fun (after a really looooong day).

We left around 9 one morning, and actually didn't end up pulling into camp until 2am. The last 4 hours were just short of a nightmare because the girls were tired and had been in the truck all day long - but there wasn't really a place to stop anywhere after Vegas.

Glamis is located on the Arizona/California/Mexico border. To get there we drove on part of Route 66. I thought that was pretty cool, and it is a lot like the Cars movie. No Mater sightings though.

Anyway, we stayed at the dunes for a few days and had a really good time (although Kate keeps telling us she doesn't want to go to the really far away dunes again).

It was so neat to be in the sun and out in the dunes at the end of December. And the dunes there are a pretty fun ride. It's also like a mini city set up there every weekend. The have vendor row with atv parking, food, ice cream, parts, stickers, tshirts, everything. It reminded us of Moab over Easter - but with side by sides.

Polaris put on a big production down there with food, activities, give aways, and even fireworks. Luckily we parked by some nice people who had a few kids Kate's age, so she was in heaven having friends to play with.

Christmas 2012

Such a fun Christmas this year. We just spent the day home relaxing and playing with the new toys and eating. Can you tell the girls love their new cousin just a bit? We were so happy to have Weston here for Christmas. And miracles do occur - Santa brought Astrid and her dragon. A miracle I tell ya, a miracle :)
